Horses and Cows and Dogs, Oh My!

CPR Manikin, Mani warns you about these dangerous animals.

Can you guess which animals cause the most deaths in the US each year? You guessed it (or maybe you didn't)...horses and cattle! According to a Stanford University Study, of the 1,610 animal-related fatalities from 2008-2015 over half of them were the result of non-venomous animals. Most were caused by horses and cattle, then followed by dogs.

Of course it's not typically a "mad cow" or aggressive horse chasing you down for the pleasure of attacking you. According to a CDC report, it's being thrown from a horse, a cow protecting its offspring, or some other farm related accident.

So, as the weather gets nicer and Cowboy Mani oils his chaps and shines up his spurs, he wanted to remind you to be careful around farm animals...they may not be as cute and innocent as they look.
